Molecular
Pathology uses genome wide technologies to identify new targets
or target nucleic acid sequences in search of mis-regulated genes
in diseased tissues. Techniques that are used vary from DNA sequencing,
differential gene expression, proteomics, to in situ hybridization.
HistoGeneX offers services in the detection and localization of
cell specific gene expression on paraffin embedded tissue samples.
Using newly developed procedures, HistoGeneX can provide both
histological and molecular profiling. Moreover, HistoGeneX offers
the services for in situ hybridization, laser capture microdissection,
and real time RT-PCR. At HistoGeneX, western blotting could also
be established from laser captured cell populations.
